Lowestoft: Woman Sexually Assaulted After Night Out

A woman has been sexually assaulted as she walked home from a night out in Lowestoft.

Police were called at around 3.40am on Saturday with a report that a 21-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted by a man in a field off Britten Road in Lowestoft.

The woman had spent the night in town and was making her way home when she was approached by a man who pushed her down into a field and sexually assaulted her before making off.

An area around Britten Field off Britten Road in Lowestoft has been cordoned off whilst officers carry out an investigation.

The man is described as white, of medium build and in his mid 20s. He had short shaven hair and wore a tracksuit.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a lone female walking in the area of The Avenue, Tom Crisp Way, Britten Road, Britten Field and Delius Close in Lowestoft between 2am and 3.30am this morning, Saturday 2 February.
