Man Bailed In Rape Investigation

Police have released a 20-year-old man on bail after he was arrested following an allegation of rape from a 19-year-old woman.
The 20-year-old man was arrested at an address in Haverhill a short time after the attack and was taken into custody at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre. He has since been released on bail.
Officers were called early on Sunday morning, by a woman who reported she had been raped and robbed by a man on the recreation ground at Recreation Road in Haverhill in Suffolk.

The area where the offence is alleged to have occurred was cordoned off on Sunday morning while a forensic examination got underway at the scene.
