Man Charged After Suffolk School Abuse

Suffolk Police have charged a man following an investigation into allegations of abuse at St George’s School in Great Finborough, Suffolk and Wicklewood School near Wymondham, Norfolk during the 1970s and 1980s.

Derek Slade, aged 60 and of Farm Road, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire has been charged with five counts of buggery, five counts of indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency. He has also been charged with possession of indecent images and possession of false identity documents.

He has been remanded in police custody and is due before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates this morning.
