A man's been jailed for driving his car at his former neighbour and hitting him.

34-year-old Peter Adam Kelly from Aylsham Road in Norwich has been jailed for more than three years for deliberately hitting a 23-year-old man with his car.

On Tuesday 3rd August this year, Kelly drove his vehicle onto the path on Aylsham Road and purposely hit his former neighbour. As a result the victim hit his head on the windscreen, causing injuries that required hospital treatment.

Kelly pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to dangerous driving, attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm and destroying property.

The third charge relates to an incident on Sunday 4 July where he damaged a rear window of a property on Aylsham Road.

At Norwich Crown Court on Friday 12 November, Kelly was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison.

DS Richard Dickinson from Norwich CID said "We are pleased with the outcome and extremely grateful to the witnesses who came forward with information which significantly helped the investigation."
