Man Wanted After Sex Assault
Suffolk Police are releasing the description of a man they would like to speak to in relation to a sexual assault in an area of woodland in Ipswich.
Detectives are investigating the incident after a woman reported that a man had pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. She had been looking for a friend at around 5am on the morning of Tuesday 9th August in woodland behind Downside Close when the assault occurred.
Since the initial details were taken officers have been able to speak to the woman and obtain a full account. As a result police are keen to trace a man described as black, in his late twenties to early thirties, over 5ft 10ins tall and with stubble on his face. He was wearing a long sleeved hooded top and a blue New York Yankees baseball cap with white logo.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Annabel Taylor at Ipswich CID on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
