Martlesham Heath: Object Dropped Off Bridge

Police are investigating after a car was damaged by an object being thrown from a road bridge in Martlesham Heath.

Police need to trace three individuals wearing dark clothing after a silver BMW sustained damage to its windscreen when an object was dropped on it as it drove along the A12 around 4am yesterday, Sunday 17 June.

A 41-year-old woman was driving along the A12 and as she went under the footbridge she noticed three figures on it. She then heard a bang and the windscreen cracked. The woman, who was unhurt, returned home and alerted police.

Officers are asking anyone who may have been in the area around this time to come forward if you saw anything suspicious or have any information about those involved.
