Newmarket: Boy Escapes After Fire

Police are appealing for information following a fire in Newmarket on Boxing Day.

Emergency services were called to Willow Crescent at around 6.30pm, where a fire had damaged two wheelie bins, a fence, three bicycles, tools, outdoor play equipment and a window at a house. The only occupant, a teenage boy, was able to raise the alarm and escape unhurt.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area between 6pm and 6.30pm yesterday.
