Police question Suffolk suspects

Police have been given more time to question three people arrested in connection with the death of a woman.

They've now named her as 36 year old Alison Studd of Pauline Street in Ipswich.

She was found on Withipoll Street on Wednesday with serious injuries and later died in hospital.

Another woman who was found with cuts on Carr Street was treated in hospital and is recovering at home.

Suffolk police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of the Odeon cinema, St Helens Street, Ipswich or Carr Street, Ipswich between 5pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday 26th January.  They are also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Withipoll Street, Ipswich between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday 26th January.
 
Detective Chief Inspector John Brocklebank of the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team who is leading this enquiry said, "It is essential that anyone who was in the areas described at the relevant times comes forward without delay.  They may hold vital information, which could assist with this enquiry."
