Saxmundham: Man Arrested After Collision

A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision in connection with the death of a man.

It follows an incident on the B1121 at Saxmundham in Suffolk on Wednesday 4th January. 

64-year-old David Noy from Saxmundham died on Thursday 5th January at Addenbrookes hospital after a car was in collision with his pedal cycle just before 7.45am on Wednesday 4th.

The 46-year-old was arrested by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team just after 9am on Monday 16th January, and taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed by officers.

He has now been bailed to return to police on March 6, pending further enquiries.
