A private ceremony will be held at the base's chapel before the cortege passes through nearby Wootton Bassett.

Hundreds are expected to line the streets to honour Aircraftman Southgate and the other servicemen.

The 20 year old from Bury St Edmunds was killed on February 24, while conducting a patrol to protect Kandahar Airfield from rocket attacks. He was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) whilst driving his WMIK Land Rover.
