In celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, a number of Big Lunches will be taking place all over Suffolk this weekend.

Here's just a taste of what's happening in your area:

Ipswich plan to hold their Jubilee celebrations over two days. Sunday 3rd will see the Cornhill turn into piazza style dining with music and entertainment form 10am to 5pm. Also on Sunday, Christchurch Park and Mansion will host a family picnic and entertainment on the lawn. Celebrations will continue on Monday, where Christchurch Park will be lighting the Jubilee Beacon at 4pm, followed by  parades, a Sunset Ceremony and other entertainment, with fireworks at around 10pm.

Sudbury will be having their Big Jubilee Lunch in the grounds of William Woodhouse on 3rd June, courtesy of 'The Bridge Project' and the William Woodhouse for elderly people. Roast Beef is on the menu, accompanied by live music from the residents. There will also be an appearance form the local Mayor. There is an event at Ballingdon Park near Pinecroft Rise too, with races, a bouncy castle and other activities. People are invited to wear Union Jack outfits, and festivities will run from 11am-11pm.

Gazeley, near Newmarket, intend to celebrate the Jubilee weekend by holding a tea party on the village green for local children.

There will also be celebrations in Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe.
