Suffolk: Fire Service Could Merge

Suffolk and Cambridgeshire share a control room at the moment, but had a big meeting on Thursday about whether they could merge.

The go-ahead's been given to look more closely at how that'd happen.

They say if it DID there'd be no  risk to public safety.

A fire service spokesman told Heart: "Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority formally accepted Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service's request to join the Combined Fire Control."
