Suffolk: Police Keen to Find These Men After Sex Assault

Heart's been given CCTV pictures of a group of men thought to be from Suffolk after a serious sexual assault.

A group of men whom police are looking to identify and trace in connection with the rape of a girl in Southend are believed to have travelled to Essex from Suffolk.

The attack happened when a 15-year-old girl from the town was sexually assaulted by several men behind Adventure Island off Marine Parade at 10:30pm on Friday, April 8.

CCTV has previously been released of a number of boys who were in a group near to the crime scene, two of whom Essex Police now states are central to their enquiries.

The first boy is described as white and has black hair. At the time, he was wearing beige shorts, a blue polo shirt and white Vans trainers. The second boy has blonde or brown hair and wearing a pink polo shirt. Both are aged in their mid-late teens.

Senior Investigating Officer, DI Colin Norton, said: “These two boys were with a group of around 20 other young people who we think started out on the arcade side of the road, but then crossed over to the beach. We think they travelled into Southend for the night and then returned to Suffolk. The girl spoke to several people before and after the assault took place and we’re confident that those people will be able to help us.”

The girl, who was with a similarly-aged friend, was in the area from 7.45pm onwards. One was wearing a light-coloured denim top, and the other a black top. Both were wearing leggings.
