Suffolk: Two Arrested After Police Operation

A woman and a man's been arrested on suspicion of controlled prostitution after a police operation in Suffolk.

Two people have been arrested in connection with controlled prostitution following an operation carried out by Suffolk Police with assistance from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Four warrants were executed in Ipswich and Wenhaston yesterday, Wednesday 7th November.  Three were carried out at addresses in St Margaret’s Green, Knightsdale Road and Nelson Road in Ipswich, and one in Heath Road, Wenhaston, following intelligence received surrounding an escort agency.

A 35-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested on suspicion of rape, controlled prostitution and money laundering. 

A 28-year-old woman from Halesworth has been arrested on suspicion of controlled prostitution. 

Both have been bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Tuesday 5th March 2013.
