Two Men Bailed After Big Fight

Police were called to a fight at Market Hill in Brandon around 1.25am on the morning of Saturday 30th of April.

Officers were called to reports of a large disturbance and several people fighting.

When they arrived they found three men with injuries and police officers administered first aid until ambulance personnel arrived and all three were taken to Addenbrookes hospital.

They included a 26-year-old man with a wound to his neck and face that was initially thought to be life threatening, however he has now had surgery and is now stable. Both the other men sustained cuts. The injured men continue to be treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital where they are in a stable condition.

Market Hill was cordoned off for forensic examination until 9.10am.

A 30-year-old man from the Thetford area who was arrested on suspicion of GBH has been released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 27th July.

A second man was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of violent disorder, he is 24 years old and from the Thetford area. He has been questioned and released on police bail, to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 29th June.
