Billy Monger, the teenage racing driver who lost part of both legs in a crash is preparing to walk round Brands Hatch race circuit.

The teenage racing sensation, who has spent more than a month recuperating in hospital wants to raise money for charity and show how much progress he has made since the accident. The 18-year-old from Charlwood near Gatwick went into the back of a stationary car at Donington Park last April The Formula 4 driver is hoping to walk the length of the pit lane at the Kent circuit on Saturday - where the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship finale is taking place - starting at about 6pm. Funds raised will go to the air ambulance service.
