Chichester: Cyclist Dies After Collision

A cyclist who suffered serious head injuries after a collision at Charlton, near Chichester, has died.

He has been named as 42-year-old Howard Plumb of Emsworth, Hampshire. The coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination is due to be carried out.

Emergency services were called to Knight's Hill at around 5.15pm on Saturday (July 5) after a collision involving Mr Plumb and a white Honda Jazz car. He was taken to St George's Hospital in London by air ambulance where he sadly died on Monday morning.

A 54-year-old man from Sweden, the driver of the Honda, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed until Tuesday (July 8) while investigations continue.
