E-Fit Released Over Worthing Attack

Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a woman in Worthing have today released an Efit of a man they want to interview.

The assault took place in Lansdowne Road, Worthing, near the junction with Heene Road, at about 11pm on Tuesday 29 March when the 30-year old victim, who lives locally, was approached by a man who offered to walk her home. He then held her by the shoulder and sexually assaulted her.

The woman pushed him away and was badly shaken, but was not physically injured.

Police publicised the case to local media on 5 April but an Efit image of the suspect has now been obtained and detectives are appealing for any information which may help to identify him.

He is described as white, with a tanned complexion, aged in his late 20's to early 30s, 5'8" to 5'10" in height, of medium to stocky build with short dark slightly curly hair. he spoke with what is described as a European accent.
