Pride Needs You

For the first time in partnership with the co-operative, Pride is looking to recruit volunteers to help out with the Pride Parade and Main Park Event.

Volunteering for Pride is very rewarding, a great way to meet new friends and, most importantly, helps keep Brighton Pride a free park event. We are looking for:

  • Volunteer wheel stewards for the Pride Parade
  • Events’ Assistants working at Preston Park, who will undertake a range of tasks to ensure the day runs smoothly
  • Parade Health and Safety checkers

As well as these roles Pride also needs volunteers who are able to commit on a longer-term basis. Pride is looking for:

  • Volunteer coordinators
  • Events runners

Pride relies hugely on the support of volunteers and recognises that they are an enormous resource in helping the organisation meet its aims and put on a safe and enjoyable event in August.

No experience is necessary for the roles as full training will be given. This is a great chance to meet new people, gain some experience and see Pride from a different angle. It is estimated that Pride will need between 200 and 250 volunteers, although most of these will be on Saturday 7th August at Preston Park and during the Pride Parade.

If you are interested in volunteering with Pride you can fill in an application form on the Pride website www.brightonpride.org or email the Pride office at office@brightonpride.org or ring us on 01273 775939 for information or for a paper copy of our application form.
