Sussex Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A 62 year-old from Winchelsea's due in court later, after being charged with trying to murder another man in Manchester.

Police were called to a flat in Brunswick on Wednesday, where a 50 year-old man had been stabbed in the neck.

He's stable in hospital.

Here's what Greater Manchester Police say.

"A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck.

"Peter Stephen Lund (09/01/1954) of Pett Level Road, Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex has been charged with attempted murder.

"He remains in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday 24 December 2016.

"Police were called at around 6.45am on Wednesday 21 December 2016, to reports of a stabbing at a flat on Wadeson Road, Brunswick.

"A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his neck. He is in a stable condition.

"Officers launched an investigation and a 62-year-old man was later arrested."
