Today:

Staying quite windy with some heavy squally showers but sunshine in between. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Staying quite windy through the evening and night with further showers blowing through, still on the heavy side, but with clear spells in between. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Southern - Trains have resumed on the Victoria - Brighton mainline after the line was cleared of trees. Services are still being delayed and disrupted. Southern hope to gradually reopen more lines through the day.

Gatwick Express - Gatwick Express remain suspended, but it's hoped service may be able to resume shortly. There is a half hourly bus service operating between Victoria and Gatwick now.

First Capital Connect - service suspended -  no estimate for when trains will resume.

Gatwick - Flights to / from Gatwick Airport may be delayed or cancelled today because of the storm covering the south of the UK today. So far there around four cancellations and six delays. Passengers advised to contact their airline.

Heathrow - Passengers advised to contact their airline. Delays and cancellations expected through the day. There are around 130 flights cancelled so far. Passengers should check their flight status with their airline.

Refuse Collections

All collections will be suspended in Chichester, Mid Sussex, Crawley and all of East Sussex on Monday. In Brighton & Hove, people are being asked not to put bins out before Midday.
