Air Show Comes To Oxford

The first event of it's kind in Oxford, 30 aircraft will take to the skies celebrating the history of flight during the Second World War and life in the 1940s.

10,000 people are expected in the Kiddlington airport with planes from the second World War and modern day jet liners on display.

Star of the show is Molly Rose from Brampton in Oxfordshire, who was part of a fearless group of women spitfire pilots during the war.

She was a member of the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) who were tasked with testing aircraft and flying them to the bases that needed to replacement planes.

Fly To The Past will also have living history exhibitions like a forties fashion show and a fifties lovely legs contest!
