A woman working at a bookmakers has been threatened with what's believed to be a gun during an armed robbery.
Thames Valley Police say it happened at the Eden Bookmakers in Harmanswater Road shortly before 8pm (31/10).
A man wearing a balaclava entered the shop and threatened a 25-year-old female member of staff with what she believed to be a handgun.
He then forced her to hand over an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the building.
Detective Sergeant Steve Witts said: "This was obviously a very frightening incident for the woman but fortunately she was not hurt in the robbery.
"There would have been people in this area at the time as there is a pub and takeaway food outlets nearby and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously either before or immediately after the incident."
The man they are looking for is white, 6ft, with a stocky build and was wearing a black balaclava and cream jacket.
