Arrest In Chesham Murder Investigation
Police say a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murdering a woman in her sixties in Chesham released on bail.
Thames Valley Police continues to investigate the unexplained death of a woman in Chesham.
Police officers were called to an address in Stoney Grove at 11.27am yesterday (29/9).
Inside the address police officers discovered the body of a woman.
The woman has been formally identified as Linda Harding, aged 68, of Chesham.
A post mortem took place today (30/9) but was inconclusive. Further reports have been requested which may take several months to complete.
A 41-year-old man from Chesham was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on police bail until 1 March next year.
Senior Investigating officer, Det Insp Dave Hubbard said: “I would like to continue to reassure the local community that this is an isolated incident and that we are conducting a meticulous investigation to establish the cause of death.
“Our thoughts are with the family of Linda Harding at this extremely difficult time for them.
“Local residents might see an increased police presence in the area while we conduct our enquiries and a scenewatch remains in place in Stoney Grove.”
