Aylesbury Rape:Police Check CCTV

A 19-year-old woman's being interviewed by specially trained officers after being raped near Aylesbury train station in the early hours of Friday morning.

Thames Valley Police were called to Station Way at 2:19am after reports a woman had been attacked.

A team of detectives is at the scene gathering evidence and they are also looking at CCTV from the area.

Detective Inspector Nick Glister has told Heart they are still in the early stages of the investigation;

"Officers will also be carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the local area and I would urge anyone who has any concerns to speak with them about these.

"Incidents of this nature are very rare in the Aylesbury area and I would like to reassure residents that everything that can be done, is being done at this time."
