Banbury: F1 Team Sell Off Assets

Oxfordshire-based formula 1 team, Marussia is preparing to auction off it's assets after it folded last month.

Almost everything at it's Banbury headquarters will be sold off next week - including the racing cars without the engines.

Two hundred members of staff were made redundant when the company went into administration.

Items up for grabs on Tuesday 16th December include photographs, car components and team clothing.

On Wednesday and Thursday, items from the office in Overthorpe Road, including desks and computers will be sold off via online auctioneers CA Global Partners.

In the new year, race day pit lane equipment will go up for sale.

Speaking at the time of the company's closure, Marussia driver Max Chilton said: "Devastated for everyone involved at Marussia in the past 24 hours that the hard work trying to get to Abu Dhabi didn't work out as we hoped."
