Barton Plans on Display
People in Oxford can see plans for 900 new homes and a school in Barton.
The masterplan for the new community are on display at the Barton Neighbourhood Centre and at New Marston Primary School.
Oxford City Council is working in partnership with Grosvenor Developments Ltd to create a new community of up to 1,000 homes at Barton as well as a primary school, food store and a park. At least 40% of the homes will be affordable rent.
The plan's come about after a series of events over the summer where people were asked to give their views.
The council says this is an important chance to see the updated proposals ahead of the planning application being submitted early next year.
The new masterplan and members of the project team will be at the:
- Barton Neighbourhood Centre on Saturday 3 November 2012 between 10.10am and 4.00pm.
- New Marston Primary School on Wednesday 7 November 2012 between 2.30 and 6.30pm.
