Bracknell: Shooting Victim Discharged From Hospital
A man who was shot on a doorstep in Bracknell has been discharged from hospital.
Police are still investigating after it happened at around 6pm on Sunday afternoon.
Two men knocked at the door of a property in Swancote Green, Easthampstead.
A man opened the door, one of the men shot him and then both made off in the direction of Lyn Crescent.
The victim, a man in his thirties, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. He was discharged in the early hours of today.
Police say the offenders are white, aged between 30 and 40, average height, one had brown hair and the other blond.
A scene watch remains in place in Swancote Green - where officers are standing guard.
Senior investigating officer Det Insp Stuart Brangwin, of Force CID, said: “Detectives are working to establish the circumstances of what happened during this incident.
"This is not believed to be a random attack however it is understandable that some members of the community may feel concerned. Incidents of this nature are unusual and do not occur frequently in this area.
"We have extra officers on duty in the area continuing to provide reassurance. We would urge anyone who has any information about the incident, who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to call police on 101"
