An elderly man has been threatened with a knife in an aggravated burglary in High Wycombe.

At around 4.15pm on Monday (26/5), a man forced his way into a property in Cross Road, Castlefield.

He threatened the occupant, a man aged in his eighties, with a knife, then stole a large amount of cash from one of the rooms.

Investigating officer, Det Con Chris Hatton from Force CID High Wycombe, said: “This was a frightening ordeal for an elderly gentleman who had a large amount of money stolen from him in his own home."

The offender is black, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, well built, and wearing a dark grey tracksuit top and matching tracksuit bottoms.

His hood was up, his face was covered and he was wearing gloves.

Det Con Hatton added: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information which could help us to find this despicable offender and bring him to justice to contact me as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Chris Hatton from Force CID High Wycombe via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
