Man Charged Over Schoolgirl's Death In Witney

Thames Valley Police have charged a 19-year-old man in connection with a fatal collision in Witney.

Robert Blackwell, of Hayway Lane, Weald, Bampton, is accused of one count of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The charges are in relation to a collision in Curbridge Road on 30 June involving a blue Citroen C2 and four pedestrians.

Liberty Baker, aged 14, who was one of the pedestrians, died in hospital and two other 14-year-old girls and a man were injured.

Blackwell was bailed to appear at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on 24 November.
