Man Stabbed In Reading
Police are investigating a man seriously injured after being found stabbed in Reading
Thames Valley Police have told Heart they were called to Gun Street and Minster Street area of Reading at around 3.45am on Wednesday 31st July 2013, where a man was found with serious injuries that are believed to be caused by stabbing outside the Purple Turtle bar.
The victim was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment and is in a serious but stable condition.
Det Ch Insp Matt Healey said “The investigation is currently at a very early stage and we are in the process of establishing what has happened to the victim. Our main focus is locating those responsible.
“We understand this has involved disruption and road closures to parts of Reading town centre, however, this is a critical part of the investigation and we ask for the public’s understanding while this investigation takes place.”
It's hoped a new app, showing where the nearest automatic defibrillator is across the Thames Valley will help save lives.
