An investigation into a huge fire at an industrial estate in Basingstoke hasn't been able to find how it started.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue were called out at 00:27 on Thursday, November 1st,  to the fire at Bessemer Road, off Harrow Way.

100 firefighters from Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey attended the blaze at a unit housing the Ready Made Picture Frame Company.

The unit was well alight when they got there, after several large explosions involving LPG gas cannisters.

The building's partially collapsed but the fire was stopped from spreading to other businesses.

Because of all the smoke people living nearby were asked to stay inside and keep their windows closed.

Area Manager, Steve Trevethick, told Heart they had support from the Environment agency as well as the police.

The picture frame company have moved into new premises and reckon they'll be back to full production by the new year.
