Oxford Westgate centre

Westgate has been planned for 10 years, spent 2 years in construction and cost £440 million

More than 200 brands will eventually be there, including big names like Primark, River Island, Ernest Jones, Office and a flagship John Lewis store.

60 will open today including Victoria's Secret, The Body Shop and Russell & Bromley, with a further 35 between now and Christmas.

There are also a string of restaurants like Nandos, Pret, Pizza Pilgrims and Neds Noodles - along with bars and a new 5 screen cinema.

Around 3-thousand jobs are being created.

The vast project's completely transformed the area, with the road layout completely changing for new bus services and extra parking but shoppers are being advised to use public transport as it's expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors.
