Three people arrested on suspicion of murder after a man from Witney died from head injuries have been released on bail.

Melvin Hillier was found at an address in Alvescot Road, Carterton on Thursday.

The 52 year old from Witney died from a bleed on the brain caused by blunt impact to the head, a post-mortem examination found.

Further tests will need to be carried out, Thames Valley Police said. A 27-year-old woman and 48-year-old man from Carterton and a 59-year-old man of no fixed address were detained at the scene after South Central Ambulance Service called the police.

They've now been released on bail.

Detective chief inspector Ian Hunter said: "We are keeping an open mind as the investigation progresses. We would appeal for anyone with information that may be relevant to our inquiry to contact us.''
