Murder Investigation Starts In Oxford
Detectives are questioning a man on suspicion of murdering a 53-year-old man in the city.
He was found injured on Harefields in the Summertown area on the 22nd June and passed away in the John Radcliffe hospital nearly two weeks later.
Tests are due to take place looking into exactly how he died.
A 48-year-old man from Oxford is in police custody.
Senior investigating officer, Acting Chief Inspector Ailsa Kent of the Major Crime Unit said: “I would like to appeal for anyone who thinks they might have any information about this incident to get in touch with us by calling the non-emergency number 101 quoting URN 1401 (6/7).
“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
