Oxford Murderer Sentenced

An 18-year-old man has been jailed for life after being found guilty of the murder of a musician from Oxford.

Haydan O’Callaghan from Saunders Road, Oxford, has been told he'll serve a minimum of 21 years for killing 29-year-old Aaron Buron in St Martin’s Road, Rose Hill on 31 March 2012.

The teenager had earlier pleaded guilty to manslaughter but this plea was not accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service and he was tried for murder. 

Aaron BuronAfter his death Mr Buron's family paid tribute to their "much loved son, brother, dad, family member and friend", saying:

"What will we do without you? You will never know how much we love and miss you, our hearts are broken. You will be forever with God.

"Aaron you could walk into a room and light it up with your smile and presence.

"We love you, sweet dreams and God bless."
