Stabbing In Stokenchurch: Man Charged

An 18-year-old man’s been charged with attempted murder after two teenagers were stabbed in Stokenchurch.

It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning in New Road, Stokenchurch.

Two 19-year-old men are currently being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but police say their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers cordoned off two properties to carry out forensic examinations and are also carrying out house-to-house enquiries.

Deputy LPA Commander Ch Insp Colin Seaton says police believe it was an isolated incident and there’s no danger to the wider community

He added: “We are doing all we can to ascertain the exact circumstances.

 “We have diverted patrols to the area and are asking for anyone who may have information regarding this incident and who has not already been in touch with the police to contact us as a matter of urgency.”

Edward Isherwood, from New Road, has appeared at Wycombe Magistrates Court today charged with attempted murder.

An 18-year-old woman, who was also arrested in connection with the stabbing, has been released on police bail.
