Tribute to organ donors unveiled

A memorial which pays tribute to the people who have given 'the gift of life' by donating organs, has been installed in the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The huge artwork takes up an entire wall and dominates the main entrance in Craven Road.

The specially commissioned work features butterflies which are native to Berkshire and is intended as a place where families can remember their loved ones.

The artwork is being officially unveiled on Wednesday at an event attended by transplant patients who are only alive today because of the generosity of others.
