Thames Valley Police Carry Out Sexual Exploitation Raids
8 arrests made in Oxford under Operation Sabaton.
Thames Valley Police arrested eight people this morning, after they carried out a series of warrants in Oxford in relation to child sexual exploitation.
More than 100 officers executed warrants at eight properties across Oxford at 6am.
A number of men from Oxford have been arrested in connection with child sexual exploitation, they are: two 36-year-olds, a 29-year-old, a 31-year-old, a 44-year-old, a 45-year-old, a 33-year-old (who will be 34 tomorrow), and a 37-year-old.
The offences relate to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.
The Force is investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with this operation.
Operation Sabaton is an investigation into Child Sexual Exploitation dating from 1999 to 2007.
