Four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men were left fighting for their lives following a late-night attack.

The two victims, both in their 30s, were critically ill in hospital following the assault in Welley Road, Horton, near Slough, Berkshire, at around 10.40pm on Saturday.

Detectives from Thames Valley Police said they had bolstered their presence in the area, but were treating the incident as "isolated''.

Four men - aged 24, 25, 28, from Slough, plus another man whose age has not been disclosed - were in police custody facing questioning on suspicion of attempted murder.
