Torbay Armed Robbery

Police in Torquay have released an image of a man they would like to trace following an armed robbery in the town.

The incident took place at the William Hills bookmakers shop on St Marychurch Road at 2035 hours on Friday, 6 May 2011.
The offender entered the shop and walked up to the counter.
He then withdrew a 12-inch kitchen knife and threatened two members of staff, one male and one female.
The man made off with around £300 in cash. No-one was injured.
When he left the scene, it is believed that he turned left out of the store, left again past McColls off-licence and into the back alleys of the Plainmoor area.
The man is described as wearing black trousers, a black Helly Hansen jacket with the hood up and a white scarf over his face.
He also wore distinctive black trainers with blue stripes.
