Eight officers from South Wales Police are being investigated over the way they handled a domestic abuse case.

The body of 35 year old Lisa Moller was found at a house in Barry in August.

The IPCC says six constables have been given misconduct notices.

Two sergeants are also being investigated over the way they supervised junior officers.

The police watchdog says the ambulance service contacted police on August 31st to say the body of 35 year old Lisa Moller had been found.

Officers were called to the property by a neighbour who reported what's described as "domestic incidents".

They tried to make contact twice that night and again the following morning but weren't able to see or speak to Lisa Moller.

IPCC Commissioner for Wales Jan Williams says the family of the 35 year old is being kept updated with any developments and has offered her sympathies at this difficult time.
