Vandals destroy school children's garden

A group of North Wales school children have been left devastated after their award winning garden was left destroyed following a vandal attack.

Pupils at Ysgol Mair in Rhyl arrived at school last Monday to discover plants pulled up and stolen, benches broken and the fountain in the pond taken. The youngsters were on the verge of entering Wales in Bloom, a competition they came second in last year.

Gail Lavery, Chair of the Parent Teacher's Association told Heart "the children have worked very hard on the garden for weeks. To see their faces when they saw what had happened was so sad and they can't believe what's happened.

Students Natasha, Zack and Cayla have told Heart they just want the vandals to leave their garden alone as it's very upsetting.
