9 Arrests After Drugs Raids In South Oxhey

Nine men have been arrested after several drugs raids in South Oxhey and Watford.

Police forced their way into 9 properties in South Oxhey and two addresses in Watford at around 6am yesterday (31 July).

It was all part of a force-wide initiative called Operation Scorpion, to drive down crime in Hertfordshire.

The arrests were as follow:

  1. 44 year old Jason Hallidey of Preswick Road in South Oxhey was charged with supply of a class A drug and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

  2. A 34 year old man from Bushey Health was arrested on suspicion of the supply of class A drugs. 

  3. A 28 year old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

  4. A 41 year old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of the supply of class A drugs.

  5. A 20 year old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of the supply of class A drugs.

  6. A 25 year old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

  7. A 43 year old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

  8. A 23 year old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of supplying of class A drugs.

  9. A 22 year old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of supplying of class A drugs.

Chief Inspector for Three Rivers Deirdre Dent said: "These warrants were intelligence led and executed at the homes of people who are suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs.

"We're working to ensure that drug related crime remains low across Three Rivers. If you have suspicions about drug related activity in your neighbourhood, please let us know so we can investigate and take action where appropriate."
