Fatal Fire "Accidental"
A1 Car Driver Seriously Injured
A car driver has got serious injuries after a crash with a van on the A1 in Borehamwood.
Officers were called at around 6.25pm to the northbound carriageway just north of Borehamwood to reports of a two vehicle collision involving a white Fiat 500 and a silver Ford Transit van. The ambulance service and fire service were also called to the scene.
The driver of the Fiat suffered serious injuries and has been taken via air ambulance to St Mary’s hospital. The van driver was not injured.
The road is expected to be closed until around 11pm to allow investigations to take place at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to is asked to call PC Andy Ralph or Sergeant Richard Barker via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
