The MP for Watford wants Leavesdon Studios tp help make the film The Hobbit.
Richard Harrington's meeting the head of Warner Bros today to try and persuade him.
He says as well as bringing jobs and money to the area - it'd leave a lasting impact.
Well, this is the second time in a week that Heart has heard about the film possibly coming to our area.
The Hobbit was expected to be filmed in New Zealand - using some of the same sets as Lord of the Rings.
But director Peter Jackson - who won three Oscars for the final Lord of the Rings film - has warned arrangements may have to be made to shift the production away from New Zealand because of an actors' pay dispute.
The New Zealand union, Actors Equity, insists the dispute is being resolved - and that it has lifted a boycott of working on the project - but senior producers say it may be too late.
And it's being reported that Jackson's wife Fran Walsh has told a radio station in New Zealand that the studio where Harry Potter was filmed is being considered as an alternative.
Warner Brothers sent us a statement saying the action of the unions forced them to consider other filming locations for the first time, and that alternative locations are still being considered.
The films due to come out in December 2012.
