Michael Jachimowicz is accused of killing his Polish father Heironim Jachimowicz in 2005, when he was aged 87.
Herts police called in an archaeologist in the two-week search of the garden in Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, Herts to find the remains which discovered this weekend.
They charged the son with murder and firearm offences, after discovering handguns in the home.
