Man Held After Child Found Alone In Watford

Police trace parents of toddler found alone at shops in Watford.

A 48-year-old man from Watford has been arrested, after a toddler was found alone at a parade of shops in the town.

The three-year-old was discovered by a member of the public yesterday afternoon at around 1.20pm in The Gossamers.

Hertfordshire Police released a photo to trace his parents and said the boy has now been identified and his parents traced.

The man's being held on suspicion of child neglect and is in custody while inquiries continue, a spokesman said.
