Milkman Cut Free From Float

A milkman's been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a crash saw his milk float end up on its roof.

He was trapped inside after the crash, which also involved a lorry and a van on the A41 near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, just after 2pm on Monday 19 September 2011.

Hertfordshire's Fire Service were called to the scene, and managed to cut the milkman free.  He was flown to hospital in Romford by air ambulance, and then transferred to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London.

The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.  The van driver was uninjured.
