Poppy Appeal Collection Box Stolen
Police are releasing CCTV images of two women they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a Royal British Legion poppy appeal collection box from a restaurant in Bushey Heath.
The Harvester on the High Road in Bushey Heath on Friday, November.
The box was taken from a bar in the Harvester on the High Road at around 11pm.
Investigating officer, PC Gerard Handscombe, said: ''I am appealing for anyone who recognises the two women pictured in the CCTV images to please come forward. Or indeed if you recognise yourself, please also come forward as you may be witnesses to this crime and could provide us with information crucial to our investigation.''
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Handscombe on the non-emergency number 101 citing crime reference number J2/11/1534. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Pair took purses from shoppers in Watford, St Albans and Harpenden.
Men are less likely to talk than women with 54% of women having had a conversation compared to 37% of men.
